Made his debut on loan for Accrington today in a 2-1 win. For those that havent got a clue what im on about hes a 21 year old Polish keeper thats come through our academy. Hes very very highly rated, and hopefully will become our number 1 one day.
He reminds me of Pickford in the sense that he's very rapid at getting up after a dive, must be something the coaches work hard on.
I was going to mention Pickford mate but i decided not to incase i was shot down because of when you look at what Pickford was doing when he was 21 2 years ago. Ive heard quite a few people say hes as good as Pickford was at that age though. Time will tell but surely we cant be that lucky.
I haven't seen much of him but I was watching a few vids a while back and the first thing that struck me was his speed, which was the same as the first times I saw Pickford although he's got his kicking too. Looks a confident and vocal type and strong like Bri says. It's usually safe to assume they're good shot stoppers so I look at what else they bring.
We can be that lucky. Just a pity we can't bring through any other position!!!! I've heard a lot of good things from my mates who watch the youngsters. Distribution is good and good keeper generally. Hopefully we'll find out
Gooch and Honeyman to name a few and players like Asoro, Maja and Watmore who we brought over as 16 to 18 year olds. Our academys doing a pretty good job i think mate.
I see that Rickie Lambert is available on a free. He's 35 and I've got no idea what shape he's in but he might be worth a look. I'd have been happy enough if we'd paid decent money for him two or three years ago.
