Been OK but suddenly the nervous have kicked in, knotted stomach, feeling sick and I just want to get to the ground. When you are there, surrounded by fellow fans, its better, easier to cope with. Safety in numbers I suppose, its just one game, nothing in the scheme of things, just 3 points, does it matter. Told myself all of that but no, I dont believe it either. Putting off my shower because I know once thats done I will go and even I know its far to early. No point to this post, just need to do something, anything. I'm 62 FFS, 62, I should really know better.
Syd I was handlng it alright till I read your post. Now my nerves have kicked in. I dare not make any comment on whats going to happen as everytime I start to believe it goes pear shaped. Thank God we only have to wait till 12.00 for KO.
Even worse when you can't find owt on team news etc... The team i would pick would thump the mags.. (well in my opinion only of course). Where-as Bruce is likely to pick one completly different to mine, hence why he is a manager and i'm not. I want an attacking team, not sit back and wait.
Deep breaths all round lads and lasses...Store all your nervous energy up for the match, and then let it all out with a roar like you have never done before.. And may the force be with us...Ha'Way The Lads..
I don't feel nervous, yet. I reckon they'll kick in when I get near the ground then it all becomes real. Thank God for alcohol!
