Last year the quantity of players we had on the books was OBSCENE.Loads a players on the wage bill , never makin a contribution.I bet we had 60 players on the books last year before we talk about the academy It went thru the players who have left this summer on LFC tonight, and it until showed the ones who have had first team involvment, I couldnt believe how many there were El Zhar,Soto,Ngog,Insua,Poulsen,Konch,Aqua,Ayala,Pacheco,Cole,Degan and Ive proobably missed some out.The reserves last year, had about 30 players, this year there will be hardly any players who wont be gettin games at the club. Remember names from the reserves like Irwin,Chamberlain,Saric,Bruna,Ince,BrouwerPallsson,Kacaniklic,Darby,Bouzanis We are leaner and meaner this year.If a player is gettin paid he isnt just sittin in the stand
We've already got two injuries to our first XI and done fine, I'm sure we'd be fine if 2 more were to get injured (touch wood they don't). Cheers for the concern though
Geez-us, from the woodwork! Look we had a massive amount of players on fat salaries and were not playing, not even in the reserves, we needed to get rid. Not only did it open up transfer money, it has lowered our wage bill. Our squad is much stronger than it was and that is a fact, we are going for top 4 and that is what we want. We have great youth coming through, so no need to go crazy on signings as we have the former Barca coaches creating them for us. Also we had injuries last year and with it we found out that 18 year old Flanagan and same Jack Robinson were capable of making prem league appearances. In other words, I am happy with the squad, maybe 1 more attacking mid, but we have Suso in the ranks so wouldn't be surprised if he starts to break in as well.
It was probably a bit short and therefore came across a bit harsher than intended. I want Liverpool to do better than City, Chelsea, and United. I often watch you as my friend is a mad Liverpool man. BluffCityRed explains the reason for his confidence well. I was concerned about what you have just after the bench. But hope all turns out well.
It is great, we've signed 7 new players and lowered the wage bill. Kenny has fulflled his objective, an objective that was outlined by the owners. Plus the spending since January doesn't look too bad. Its spent £115.5 million and recouped £78.5 million. Kenny has rebuilt the squad for £36.5 million.
