We need a new forward to help out Suarez and with all the talk of one or two coming in in January. Who do you think we will actually get no dream purchases of zlat or messi. Personally I think Shane long would fit in perfectly. Thoughts?

Obvious options are Walcott (though todays news says otherwise), Sturridge, Hooper, Rossi, Damiao (if his wage demands are fair), Torres.

Players who could do well and score lots of goals playing from the wide forward positions.

shane long has some pace but i think we need to remember rodgers game plan.

look for someone LIKE borini but better, more ready to step in. They will play wide left or right and move into the box as suarez comes towards the ball and pulls CB with him.

walcott wants too much money, wants to play in the worng poistion and worst of all is a crock.

hooper is an unknown, i really couldn't say if he would fit this bill at all.

Rossi is crocked and if LFC buy one more crock whos injured arriving i'll blow my lid. aquilani and carrroll we enough learn the bloody lesson.

Damiao could well fit the bill...

Cavani! Think about it.. We have Suarez and Coates, who he'll be familiar with. Oh and Lucas is a good looking chap which could persuade him, Also BR has big bollox (allegedly:emoticon-0112-wonde), which will be the clincher <ok>

I'm not his biggest fan either but then I keep hearing Sturridges name crop up and I'd take Shane Long anyday. I hope he signs for the "hoof ball blues" though so I can make jokes about how they're always playing long As for transfer targets I see we've been linked with the lad from Vitesse who's banging them in (Bony) but I know sod all about him. I'd be interested to know what Suarez thinks about Huntelaar seeing as they played together.

    Shane Long's a decent player but he hasn't got the goals in him.He'll contribute,but I don't
    see him being a target.

Huntelaar,on the other hand is a proven goalscorer and is available.(Apparently)

I don't know why I thought Cavani would be attracted to good looking boys and big bollox to be honest <laugh> I shouldn't judge people by my own standards <whistle>

  14. Out of that list, despite his injury problems, Rossi is the best fit <ok>

I'm not sure on Huntelaar, most on here seem to like him but why hasn't he been picked up before now? Whenever I see him play he just doesn't look that good a player.

All solid linked players have question marks imo.

    Walcott
    Sturridge
    Huntelaar

Whoever we get I'm just praying the get the goals we need.

  17. I'd be happy with Huntelaar but there is absolutely zero chance that we will sign him IMO. He just isn't the right fit for what Rodgers wants. Unfortunately, the other two are the right types but IMO they are not of the right standard <ok>

I've given up thinking about it, we never sign who we are linked with.

  19. I couldn't give a **** if we sign some unknown twat from Blue Square Premier South Division, if he knows where the net is and fits the system, get him in the team!

I doubt Walcott will leave the goons but even if he does he won't come to Anfield.

Its not often I think the yanks should keep their tight fists tightened but when it comes to Sturridge I really hope he's "too expensive" <ok>

BR has a bit of a tricky situation really. He needs a player/players who can get goals. He also needs a player/players who will complement Suarez AND who can cover for him when he's out of the team. Now that Luis is firing from the central position he has a dilemna on his hands. Does he look for wider players who will add goals too? Or does he look for central players and shift Suarez into a wider position? Does he even have a pot to piss in? How much trust will he put in Borini going forward (no pun intended)?

It'll be very interesting to see how he approaches things in January and whether or not he's given the backing he should be given by the owners.
