Upfront 'not too bad'???? Almost the worst goal scoring record in the division! Who are you kidding !

If we could hit the back of the net we'd be top two by now.

Josh King has a lot to do imho

Think we could do with a bit of experience up front, to come of the bench and help the youngsters out, someone who's been in the Championship and been promoted and knows how to score at this level.

    Someone like Kevin Phillips maybe.

You need 3 or 4 quality strikers to get out of this league. I think if we don't address this, then that will arguablybe what stops us mounting a serious challenge. Every other team in the top 6 have better attackers than us, and they're looking at further strengthening!

Southampton are looking at strengthening, Boro have, West Ham probably ok.

If were being honest our first choice strikers are not good enough to get us promoted.
Fryatt and McClean are good options off the bench.

You have to worry when the management think one of the best strikers in our division "doesn't fit our style of play"...

Considering we haven't spent anything yet we should be able to pick up a decent striker somewhere.
PT keeps telling me that Nick doesn't want anyone else but IMO a big Jon Parkin type could open the floodgates for the likes of Fryatt and McClean.

I would have loved to see Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink back but he is playing for PSV so I doubt we could afford him or if he would ever come back.

Can't see anyone in the Premier League who we could afford or would want to come. Maybe Jason Roberts at Blackburn. Big unit who could defo do a target man job for us.

    what we got..

Fryatt - steady performer, not quite a 20 goal a season man but since Stu Elliot who has been? ***
Mclean - workrate, effort, energy.. not many goals, needs 5 chances to get one, a useful player but taking up a goalscorers place?.. ***
Simpson - he is capable at npc but Barmby maybe has doubts about his workrate compared to Mclean, still things to prove, needs to play with Stewart IMO **
King - unknown, has the skills looking at the youtube clip, but that doesn't prove anything ??
Cullen - can score a hatful in reserves not in the leagues *
Adebola - will be out in the summer, he was a hard-times signing and has hardly played *

If Billy Sharp is still available towards the end of January, do you think we'll put a cheeky bid in??
    Say £1.5M??
    Is that the plan??
Wait and see what happens, Donny would be mad not to cash in while he's doing well.

Who were QPR's 3 or 4 quality strikers last season? They played the same system we do now, Helguson got low double figures, and the next top scoring striker I think scored 2. Norwich and Swansea?

Other players chipped in with goals for Norwich, Swansea and QPR.
We are lucky to have Koren, without his goals where would we be now?
We don't score enough, not just the strikers all the team.
No defender has scored for us this season.
