The 30-year-old scored on his Tractor Boys debut after his ‘dream move’ to the R’s went sour after injury restricted him to two Premier League starts.

“It was always in my mind to go back there one day, I was fortunate to get there, but for whatever reason it hasn’t worked out so far,” he told Green ’Un24.

“I don’t know what the situation is with QPR if I’m being honest, whether they want me back in January or to be in the 25-man squad. I haven’t got a clue.

“There are rumours that they do but I haven’t actually spoken to the gaffer (Mark Hughes) about it and I just want to concentrate on getting fit and playing and doing my best for Ipswich really.”

I would love for him to make the step up and get some gametime and goals for us. I mean there's the chance for him to fulfill his and no doubt a lot of our boyhood dreams to pull on the hoops and score a goal down the loft.

Don't feel he was ever given a chance. With Holloway was he not top English Striker 2 years ago?
