Giroud's suspension is up now, should he walk back into the team? Walcott scored a hat trick vs Newcastle earlier this season and his scoring record vs them is very good in recent years, would you move him central? Or would you stick with Podolski (who I believe given a long run of games as CF would prove to become a very valuable asset to us) who has scored twice vs Wigan. Or for a laugh would you go with Gervinho? For me Podolski has to start. Giroud has been diabolical since the end of January and is simply too wasteful in front of goal. People say we are more balanced with him spearheading our attack, but I haven't seen us attack with such intent and conviction as we did last night since we played West Ham back in January. People kept telling me, when it comes to Giroud, you don't change a winning formula. Well I thought last night we were very impressive without him and to just let him walk back into the team would wind me up and probably wind Podolski up, too, after he has spent most of the 2nd half of the season warming the bench.
Last 5 games he played he has had 2 goals and 2 assists, which is a fair return. Certainly not "diabolical". Given that Arteta is probably out, and we may want to put Cazorla back in midfield, then I don't see why Podolski-Giroud-Walcott can't play up front.
