Striker trialist to play saturday

matt patterson is with us for a trial from southend and is available for the game saturday. a striker 21 y/o 6.2", who was on loan at stockport last season before they were relegated from football league.
recently had a trial at oxford and was released without joy!

have not seen him play so not sure ...although i don't think he is what we are looking for in the prolific striker we need.
could be useful back up...not the main striker we need at gillingham though to play off kedwell for these coming months!!!

 

If southend and oxford dont want him cant see him being much good

 

I've just been reading several links on this guy, although on the Southend section their was a mention in regards to the clubs wage bill for him...

unless hes improved a lot since last season i think there must be better options out there
