Right so its come to most of our attention (and the medias for that) that we're set to let a lot of our strike force leave this summer. Bendtner has already declared his desire to leave, which in itself is a good thing. That leaves us with Vela, who in my opinion hasnt got it and should be shipped off to somewhere where his addiction to fluffing chip shots can go unnoticed. Then there is Chamakh who despite his arial presence clearly lacks the goals we need from a striker, and van p who we can't afford to rely solely on again next season.

So when it comes to it we have one proven goal scoring machine and nobody else coming through, who do we add?

Ive heard west broms odemwingie is on the cards, a very wenger buy but with the price tag on his head is he really going to make a difference?

Then there is benzema/higuain? but that is all very much paper talk.

I think wenger should look at someone who is quick and mobile (in the hernandez mould) any thoughts? My mind considers young bojan from barcelona or even somebody like kevin doyle?

    discuss.

    Then the

A new striker coming in is a certainty, with Bendtner away. Just hope they're decent and loyal. YOU MUST BE LOYAL TO ARSENAL!!!

LOYALTY is a must. We need players who aren't going to jump at the slightest chance of more money elsewhere - *ahem* samir nasri

I think you guys should be more concerned with which defender and midfielder you ought to sign as nasri and fabregas seem certain to leave this summer. As well as a natural leader preferably defender?

Defoe will be incredibly loyal to you. He was very loyal to us, right up to the point Harry stopped selecting him due to his being absolute pants.

He'll be at least as good for you as Bendtner.

    Drogba?

Think we'll end up with Gervinho! Typical Wenger signing! unproven in a top league, cheap, black, French background! But we crying out for these players!!!!!

defender looks like a certain investment, scott dann was menioned today on skysports - i'd take him - young, strong, tall and a leader all rolled up into one cut price championship package.

the midfield needs one at least, but other investment will surely only be based on the potential loss of fabregas and nasri

You know what he means. Wenger was probably the first manager in England to consistently buy players from africa.

and for good reason!! Toure, bought for 150,000, sold for over 15m. that's 8 years of service and a 100x price increase to boot!! good business. Ade bought for 3.5ish million, sold on for 25m.

Gervinho seems an option, he's the strongest linked player at present. Bit worried that Chamakh AND Gervinho could go to ACON - surely Wenger has thought of this!? That would leave a month or more with only RvP available - and no guarantee he'll be fit!

For that reason, I don't think Gervinho is going to come in.

99% sure its rubbish but I seen on tribal that Real are willing to let Higuain go on the cheap. Could be a good signing if there is any chance its true! Would love Benzema though he is wasted at Real and Arsene would make him a star!

There's a million reasons why Karim Benzema is the perfect striker for arsenal.

    Here's a few of them...

    1. Van Persie. Brilliant as he is the dutchman is soo injury prone relying on him as our only Top Class striker is crazy.
When he is fit I also feel he would be better suited to playing alongside another forward. Benzema and RVP would be very simular to the old Berkamp and Anelka combination or 1998.

    2. Wenger has chased Karim Benzema for a long time.

    3. He's a strong, mobile, skillful centreforward that would suite the Premierleague.

    4. He's errr..French.

On the other hand he would'nt come cheap but then it's about time the Club invested a little more in transfers before we end up losing all our Top Players due to a perceiveable lack of ambition.

he's young enough to be worth spending 25m on really - you'll get 5 very good years out of him and still be able to sell him on afterwards for decent money.

Still want Falcao to be honest. At Porto he's like a big fish in a small pond. And that's a club that just won the Eufa Cup. Not so fussed on Benzema really.

It's hard for me to say as I liked him before he did so well this season. At 25 we won't be buying a player based upon potential, even though I think he'll get better, and he would complement Arsenal well. He's as good as Chamakh in the air, but is also able to shoot.
