Provided they're all match fit, who should start up front against the Toon?

Sort of what I'm thinking, yeah.

Away from home, against a struggling Toon. Keep the familiarity with Jerome up top. Bring on Mbokani if required.

Mbokani for me, he looks as if he has something to prove and would put the fear of God into a nervous Toon defence <ok>

Time to give The Bonk a try. He looked the part during his time on Saturday and I think the "unknown" factor might prove tricky for the Toon defence.

Cam got a bit bullied by Huth/Morgan on Saturday so perhaps needs a short break to keep him fresh - bringing him/Laffs on after 60 minutes against a tiring defence wouldn't be a bad thing.

For fear of being lambasted, Jerome is looking less clinical- he's had some good chances is not hitting the target. Might be harsh but he had a great chance early on against Leicester /same at West Ham I am beginning to think that he is not clinical enough- v good player and brings a lot to the side, maybe he just needs to score a couple in the next few games to improve his confidence and composure

Agreed KIO - he looked more ready for a scrap than Jerome and the 'Wally with the brolly' won't know much about him!!!!

I'd stick with Jerome for now but if he doesn't produce the goods against Toon I'd drop him down to the bench. Might give him something to think about a la Redmond.
CamJam scored a fair few from the bench last season because he could run tired defences ragged. Might be worth looking at Mbok starting to bully and wear the opposition down then giving Jerome half and hour to show his pace and power.

I see the EDP is running a similar poll and Mbokani is a long way out in front - doesn't say how many votes have been cast for each player though.

Edit - Just seen that 79% of voters favoured starting with Mbokani up front for Newcastle!!
