QPR depend on Austin far too much reckons coach 1 Jan 2014 18:10 Striker produces the points - but he needs help claims Kevin Bond Share on print Share on email QPR striker Charlie Austin QPR striker Charlie Austin QPR coach Kevin Bond admitted there is too much pressure on Charlie Austin. Rangers leading scorer rose at the back post to head a 91 minute winner against Doncaster that brought relief and a first triumph in four attempts. However, Bond made no bones about a tough victory in driving rain and after Hoops had gone behind in a lack-lustre first half. He said: âWe made hard work of it. But the lads showed a lot of spirit to come from behind. âDoncaster were excellent but we werenât really at the races in the first half, but we ground our way back and got a great winner.â The coach agreed it was a worry half of all Rangers goals this term have come solely from their £4m acquisition. Bond added: âYes, I think thatâs fair itâs a concern. âItâs been pointed out to players on numerous occasions. But if players havenât got goals in them - they havenât got goals in them. âWe need some help in that department. Charlie needs some help in that department.â Bond confirmed Junior Hoilettâs early departure in the 12th minute of the 2-1 win was down to a recurrence of a hamstring strain âItâs really disappointing, but the medical people will have to tell you more,â the coach said
