    Borini has left....

Here are 5 strikers whom I think could replace him..

Danny Graham- Watford, championships top scorer, and already subject of bids from us

Jonathan Soriano- Barcelona B, Rodgers has already declared himself a fan of the 'Barcelona way' and press in Spain have reported we are one of many clubs monitoring him.

Daniel Sturridge- Rodgers Chelsea connection to bring him in on loan for the season. we've already seen he can score at this level

Robert Earnshaw- Quick, experienced and on a free, so for no fee, would be a useful addition to the squad

Simon Church- Young welsh forward, great potential, and wouldn't cost the earth

Danny Graham for me all the way, yet now seemingly very distant reality as West Brom have entered the race.
Soriano did extreamly well in his 1st season at Barcelona B scoring 17 goals in another very good season for them but something telling me that his ability will promote him to the a side next season.
Daniel Sturridge - only hope Brendon can work his magic but have to act qucik as Bolton already tabled an offer
Ernie - NO NO NO NO - failed in the premiership with other clubs - getting old - wages too high
Church - depends on fee, if we can get him on the cheap then yes, but i would rather someone who is 1st choice for their club than bench warmer to spearhead or attack

Yeah danny graham would be my first choice of those 5, i only picked a random 5 strikers, i expect others to be linked with us too, which is a weird feeling, us being linked to soo many players, but a nice feeling.

Soriano is probably the most talented but however he adpated to this country would determine how good he would be.

earnshaw was a tongue in cheek suggestion, being ex cardiff, and on a free.

notice bothroyd isn't on there, even though he's on a free, because i was comparing strikers, not divers, because if i were i'd prefer we signed tom daley.

Danny Graham hasn't signed... There's still some work between a bid being accepted and a player signing a contract.

I believe we still need another striker even if Graham signs, Soriano would be good but Sturridge would be an amazing signing and I'm sure Brendan will try to get him here on loan as he did last season. Sturridge might even want to come here as he obviously knows Rodgers and Sinclair.

Soriano i think can be the next Bojan or Pedro and i dont see why he cant adapt playing in a different country, maybe a season loan deal with an option to buy,
I'd rather have Newhouse back than Betty, fakes an inury if the game too hard for him. Think you will see him in an Everton Shirt soon (tapped up)

Where abouts in llanelli are you from?

Although unproven in the Premiership I think Graham would be an excellent signing, especially at £3.5 million which is a bargain.

He is either able to make the step up and we will be laughing or he wont, but then at least if the worst happens and we go down :( we got a striker who is more than proven to help us bounce back

3.5million is a lot of pay for a player. But Jenks usualy gets it right

    Thanks Scottswan.

Spot on Rhys, Jenks usually gets it right...and 3.5 million, although a lot, looks even better considering Norwich are willing to pay 2.8 million for Morison...who is good but not a patch on Graham IMO

Exactly man, it´s baffling me that Norwich would want Morrison when they have Holt, who is a very similar player for me, except he´s head and shoulders better than Morrison!

I´d say 3.5mil is about right, he´s got a year left on his contract and he´s never played in the Premier League so I wouldn´t want us to pay more than that... it´s mind boggling when you see Ipswich want 10mil for Connor Wickham... how do they come up with that figure!?

Plus they got Jackson, so going on form of last season it seems they are willing to pay £2.8 million for a bench player? Or could Holt or Jackson be looking at pastures new?

Re: Wickham, if he reaches his potential £10 mill would be a snip, but not for at least another 3/4 years maybe

Totally, but there´s no way someone with no Premiership experience and who hasn´t even scored that many goals should command a fee of anything like 10mil. 4mil up front max with other installments/incentives, sure...

Graham, hopefully will turn out to be the right man for us. I feel he will get goals. I hope this one goes through. But i agree with RIP-vetch. we need another. Whether its a young striker on loan or another championship striker boght in. i dont know. But please god not earnshaw.
