Best of luck to him! 57 goals in 74 games thus far, albeit in the Isthmian League.

    Vinney well spotted.

Seems to be worth looking at especialy if we cannot keep Kuffour or Nouble. Wait for the non league comments though!!!

It's sad to say it about Denis, but frankly a plank of wood would do OK as a replacement the way he's been playing. I think that they should have sent him out on loan to a non-league side earlier this season to just try and get some match sharpness into him, because unfortunately he's obviously not up to the job at the moment.

Nouble WILL go back to WHU when the current loan spell ends (about the middle of the month I think), and the Kuffour contract is obviously to be negotiated.

At 23 Newson can still progress, so here's hoping, and the best of luck to him.

Oli is a funny one. I often hear fans complaining about players "not playing for the shirt" or "not giving 100%" as that would some how make up for a lack of talent, yet this is a perfect description of Den and yet he is stll lamented / ridiculed by some sections of the fanbase...

    Go figure

I actually hope we sign this lad, he would be great as a back up. If we sign this lad, Kuffour, a fast midfielder and a good Right back, I think we will be in a good position to go up.

Don't see how anyone can 'hope we sign him' or use him in a comparison against current players as none of us have seen him play.

Fair play to Southall though, shows our scouting network is varied. As said above, good luck to the lad.

Yeah just read on the Chatham town board, here is what we don't wanna see.
    http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1132&mforum=ctfc

Needham Market is just too far for us to be going for a game of eighth level football. They are top and they are scoring a lot of goals, but today they didn't score any. (Their announcer thought they had scored at one point and played the "we've scored" song - only to look a bit silly because they hadn't.)

Not a great deal happened in the first half, except for a two minute spell when JJ had a lot to do with us winning three corners in a row.

The game came to life in the second half, and Needham really should have scored a couple of times. But poor shooting and good goalkeeping from new signing Tim Roberts stopped that happening. We then had a delay following an injury to Needham's 21 goal striker, in whom Gillingham have expressed an interest, and then we scored.

The goal came from nowhere on 80 minutes - a shot from Lee Hales on the left hand edge of the penalty area went like a bullet into the net; the goalkeeper hardly saw it. Seven minutes of injury time, but in fact we had most of the possession in that time and Needham never looked like equalising.

Needham Market 0 Chatham Town 1 (Hales 80)
Team: Roberts, Laker, Barton, Newman, Hill, Potter, Hales, Jeffrey (Lawrence 75), Fuller, Blackman, Tilley. Subs not used: Mirza, Kessell.
    Referee: Mr N Cooper (Suffolk).
    Attendance: 204.

There was a lot at the game.

That'll make sure they will get a fee if Gills are still interested... Or maybe a swap deal for .... (I'm not gonna say the obvious here!)
