Sunderland target Moussa Sow has a €13 million release clause according to Fenerbahçe board member Mahmut Uslu.

“Moussa Sow has a €13 million release clause if any club matched his asking price they can enter talks,” Uslu was quoted as saying by the Radikal newspaper.

The latest statement from Uslu conflicts with the Mirror who reported that Sunderland are preparing a €21.44 million bid for Sow.

The Daily Star also reported that the Black Cats had made a €17.72 million offer for the Senegalese international.

Sow has also attracted interest from fellow Premier League outfit West Ham over the summer transfer window according to the Express.

The Senegalese international scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries last season and still has another year left on his contract wroth €1.4 million.

The experienced striker has won silverware wherever he has played including the Ligue 1 with Lille in 2011 and the Süper Lig at Fenerbahçe in 2014.

Sow is expected to keep his place in the team despite the arrival of last seasons Süper Lig goal king Fernandao and Manchester United star Robin van Persie due to Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike being loaned out to Al Ahli.

Just pay in Sterling, goes much further in Turkey than a Euro.

I thought that's why the article stated "conflicts", pointing out the contradiction.

I hope its not Sow, not the player we need in my opinion, too old as well, in 2 years he will have no re-sale value.

I don't want Sow, in fact I'd be gutted if we went for him.

Is he "next level"? He's unproven in the Prem, has a 1 in 2 record in relatively weak leagues, and is almost 30 years old. Would be an awful purchase imo.

Thankfully, from the stories coming out it seems to me like we're not interested.

Same on the Facebook page. It's ****ing bizarre. From what I've read all the rumours are from his camp and we're not actually interested. From the floods of messages saying he's better than Messi etc, I can only assume the fans want rid - but looking at the stats, he's one of the top scorers in the league :s. I don't get it.

Personally, I'd be chuffed if we got him.

yeah definitely have you seen our forwards recently. Robbie Keane is next ****ing. <laugh> Nah he's next level imo.

I said it would be bullshit. it's about the fifth time he's been 'on the verge' this window. just his agent trying to get him a better contract where he is imo.

Pato would be the icing on the cake, if we got him I would be very excited. Would be massive for the club too signing a player like that.

I can't see it happening though. We just don't sign those sorts of players. Plus we don't have a good record with south Americans. Apart from Julio they have all be a massive let down.

I hope its true but were probably more likely to sign Robbie Keane.
