    Taken From The Evil Post

BRISTOL Rovers were last night closing in on a deal to sign Cambridge United striker Adam Cunnington on loan, The Post understands.

Rovers have been pursuing a striker to add physical presence to their front-line for a number of weeks and are hoping to complete a deal to add Cunnington to the squad before they entertain AFC Telford United at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow.

A deal is believed to have been agreed between the clubs and a move that would see Cunnington, 26, become part of the squad until January now hinges on whether the striker wants to temporarily move from his home in Bedfordshire to Bristol

Was second highest Conference scorer with Tamworth in 2012-13 netting 21 times from 45 appearances so knows where the goal is in our league.

Oh well, at least he's got a decent record at this level - hopefully he'll put pen to paper <ok>

John Taylor came from Cambridge to Rovers and he was a good striker in his day

I'm always concerned with players who have bounced around so many teams at roughly the same level. He can't have been too popular in each of the clubs he has played for.

He would be a good signing because he scored lots of goals for Tamworth at this level and they were quite a struggling side. He then helped Cambridge up so I'm quite surprised that they would be willing to let him go out on loan.
