I think it is different to how you phrase that, Two men showing a true affection for each other is fine by me what I would dislike is two people whether Gay or Straight showing a more amourous display of affection in order to get a response from people around them. IMO Gay Straight or whatever there is an acceptability threshold on public displays of affection and that should be a societal norm as I don't really want to see 2 people tangling tongue's while I am munching on my pork pie and sipping on a pint of fosters down the Queens head watching match whilst a Black/White/Asian Jewish/Muslim/Christian 69 year old Lesbian commentates from the sidelines for Sky sports.
I'm glad you covered most of the bases or moyes stupid face will be along to pull you up for being sexist. The amount of attempted points scoring on my March 22 thread was unreal...

Mrs Rowley, who in the long ago used to actually do this stuff, says it's now mostly novelty acts with the odd person capable of dancing. She says it was the opposite of that when it kicked off.

I wouldn't know mesell. It's bloody awful to me!

I just find it amazing that they've conned so many people into watching ballroom dancing.

At one time they'd have to pay the likes of Morecambe and Wise or the Two Ronnies to entertain people ...

... now it's virtually unknown 'celebrities' prancing around a dancefloor <doh>

I have no real problem with women commentating as long as it is balanced and insightful, and to be honest the **** that a lot of what these so called experts spout makes me cringe, I think Andy Townsend is probably the worst male one with his "Yeah that's a free kick anywhere else on the pitch but I don't think its enough for a penalty" crap or Leeanne Sanderson with her I will just repeat and repeat and repeat what I said 30 seconds ago and throw a few Christiano Ronaldo's in then repeat again commentary are my 2 least favourite at the moment. It also gets on my wick when they over sensationalise things to make it sound more exciting than it is. I understand that men's and women's football is different and should be judged on different merits but some of the crap you hear is just trying to get people to find it interesting on Sky because they do not get as many games now so are pushing us to watch women's football which if I am honest is no where near as entertaining for me but I understand that there is an audience out there for it,.
I think what I am trying to say is let the sport stand on its merits and don't over egg it. Sky have been doing this for 2 or 3 years now since the Yanks bought it which is one of the reasons I cancelled my subscription, they have been shoving American football (where they predominantly throw the ball with little use of the foot) down our throats along with Baseball (****ing world series there is only them, Canada and a couple of others play this game of rounders with a bigger bat) and Basketball (Netball with a backboard).
