We have 4 first team keepers on the books. The reality is there is only 3 since Forecast will never play in the first team. Starting spot is pretty much set, but is Bart a capable back up for the PL? Dovey is not yet 20 so I would not expect him to get any time this year. Should we spend some money on an experienced back up keeper? I'm torn on the question. I think we have greater needs like RM where I'd rather us spend the money. If SKD gets hurt though I'm just not confident Bart will be able to hold us in games. Any good backups available on a free? We could stand pat with the 3 we have and if SKD gets hurt try to get an emergency loan. That strategy is not likely to get us anyone better than Bart though I suspect.
Craig Gordon is out of contract, he'd be a good 'un.A little injury prone and probably high wages but terrific goalie. As always, I'm aiming high...!
This is not really a priority position to strengthen but if we could grab someone like Henessey now then I would be happy with that.
Yes but maybe he is work a gamble as a result. Wolves will be slashing their wage bill they cannot carry too many so we may get him cheap. Of course it is always a risk when a player returns from a long term injury but we know Adkins can get most fit!
