Anyone have an idea for live streaming of the Semi Final on Sunday. I am away and will not have access to BT Sports or any bar that has access to BT Sports. Your assistance would be most appreciated.
Have a look at the usuals - Wiziwig - http://www.wiziwig.tv/index.php?part=sports FirstRow - http://www.firstrows.eu/ viplive - http://www.viplivesports.eu/sports/football.html
I hadn't looked at the TV for this. So the Saturday game is being shown live for free on ITV and our game on the Sunday is being shown on the not free BT Sports? That seems a little....off. Thank god the FA look after the integrity and values of the oldest cup competition.
Thanks for that. This isn't a league game. Its the FA Cup. You might have heard about it. Erm. Yes. Not quite the same. Thanks for the pedantry. For the majority of folks, ITV feels like its free, BT Sports is a subscription service. I was simply asking how come one game is being aired free and the other isn't. Of course! I missed the play off final due to protecting the Falklands from the Argies, so even though I disagree with a semi there, I wouldn't miss it for owt. I don't sing, but I WILL join in with a "Mauled" if we get the chance.
That's exactly why Arsenal V Wigan is on ITV, ITV get first choice and that game will have significantly higher viewing figures than ours.
My point was that almost all our games are on subscription channels and it's a good job this one is, or there might be even more lazy bastards staying at home to watch it on TV. You were in the services, I'm surprised you haven't mentioned it before?
I'm typing this slowly for the hard of thinking. I understand ITV is free (sort of) and BT Sports is a subscription service. I know why ITV chose the Arsenal game, it's obvious. My questions were, why aren't both games free to view so its fair for all fans of the FA Cup in England? Why should one set of fans have to pay extra to watch a game that the other sets get for free? BT Sports have done free weekends. The FA could have insisted that all FA games are free to watch for all fans. I actually, naively, thought this was a condition for the FA Cupe. Who's got the final? Why haven't they?
Mentioned a lot less than you're a massively successful business man in the Far East, and could increase the turnover at the club without getting out of bed, but choose not to. Sorry my having served in the forces offends you.
The reason BT Sport have games, is because they paid lots of money for them. The FA Cup final is a protected event and has to be shown on terrestrial TV, so it will be on ITV.
It doesn't offend me, though I am slightly concerned that our nation is being protected by fannies like you.
You should have added that although the Final is a protected event the Semi Finals aren't for those a bit slow on the uptake.
I know that this is potentially harder in Hull than the rest of the country but if you know someone with BT broadband you can 'borrow' their password and log onto BT sport.
