to be honest I'm gutted , with a better start we could have made it to the play offs in this group.....I suppose it was a neccisary evil for the youngsters to develop
Thanks, swimaway, no problems with the link and watched an excellent Wales win. Bale was outstanding again and we could have won by more. Credit Gary Speed for some great recent results and credit to Tosh for introducing some superb youngsters and our possession style of play.

good performance overall, still doubts about the centre back pairing, we need collins playing, but stand out performer was bale, full of running as usual and created chances, he was the most productive player by far. ramsey makes the game look simple, rarely gives the ball away and played with confidence. its a shame switzerland won to deny us 3rd place but to finish with 3 wins out of 4 is a strong end to the campaign for speed. we missed chances and should have put the game beyond doubt and could have been denied a win late on when bojinov should have put his chance away. seeing ramsey back in the heart of the wales midfield is great, and in some ways reminds you how unlucky toshack got with injuries. it said on the sky commentary that this was the first time in 8 years that two successive starting 11s started. as for evaluating speeds first year in charge, i think he's got the formation right. 4-1-4-1 seems to be working at the moment, 2 pacy players on the wings in bale and bellamy with crofts breaking up play and giving the ball to the players who can do something with the ball (ramsey / allen). as i said before i dont think blake is up to international football on his last few showings, again he was caught dwelling on the ball and more often than not that will be punished at this level. gone is the outdated 5-3-2 formation that toshack perservered with and thats good to see. to think that playing chris morgan, a lower league journeyman at best was playing as a 3rd centre back shows how limited his options were. speeds also come in when wales were underperforming at rock bottom, when things could only get better, and had ramsey coming back to full fitness so there is an argument that there was a margin for improvement whoever came in, but fair play to him he's got the players playing and thats a big positive
enjoyed the game and another well deserved win, speedo is doing well and long may it continue. I might even go and see wales live again if they keep it up...
