Martin O'Neil has to be number 1 choice. If he wouldn't come then id look to Mark Hughes maybe.

    Ancelotti.
HE doesn't need high wages after Chelsea set him up for life, he may just fancy the challenge.

    And I'm being quite serious.

Moyes or Poyet for me, though I wouldn't grumble at Hughes. Ancelotti? - well, if he'd come, sure.

Ok going to chuck a name in here, will make a good manager and has already been one, but is out of work atm, not sure if he would even contemplate us (or us him)

Mark Hughes? Can anyone clarify to me what he has achieved in management that makes them believe he could be a success at our club?

We need some one like van gaal or otmar hitzfeld who will take us to the next level. I can only take so many unfulfilled promises.

MArtin O Neill is the number one choice for me.

Have a look at his stats as a manager in my post about him. Staggering that anyone would say no to a man who is a born winner wherever he has been as a player and a manager. He took Leicester to 3 cup finals, winning 2 of them and took them into 2 European Campaigns. He took a struggling Villa and got them 3 consecutive top 6 finishes - the same players were almost relegated the season after he left them.

He is the ONLY choice for us as all these European big names would be just using us as Bent and Gyan have, as stepping stones to something better and more lucrative.

Martin O Neill, please, please let it be Martin O Neill.

Should have went for Martinez instead of Bruce over 2 years ago. Instead Sir Niall decided to pay Wigan £3m in compensation when we could have had him from Swansea. The football club is clueless atm and I really dont trust their judgement. Still Martinez for me but would be happy with O'neill / Hughes.

Brian Clough. I know he's dead, but he'll still have more tactical nous than Bruce.

I'm Van Basten's biggest fan. Literally, of the 8-9 billion people on this planet, nobody rates this mans ability as a footballer higher than i do. The man's ability was PERFECT in every aspect. TECHNICALLY the best footballer ever to play the game for me, untouchable.
