Seen this on another site and it makes for an interesting read. Although we have played a few more games against the top half, it's still a strange stat.

Weve gained as many points from the top half than we have the bottom..

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Man U 1
    Chelsea 3
    Man City 3
    Arse 2
    Spurs 1
    Liverpool 1
    Everto 1
    Fulham 1
    Stoke 3
    Bolton 6

    = 22 points

    WBA 0
    Skunks 1
    Villa 6
    BBurn 4
    Wolves 0
    Brum 1
    Blackpool 3
    Wigan 4
    WHU 3

    = 22 points.

Its that lack of concentration, preparation, desire, call it what you want, against the teams around us that has cost us dearly IMO.

Wolves, Fulham, Birmingham, Blackburn, Stoke, Blackpool, Newcastle.

Teams where (mags apart) we were either ahead in games, or dominant but still got beat. We must have thrown more than a dozen points away this season by not doing the professional thinga nd closing out games we should be winning?

I Bruce gets the top bit right and improves on the bottom, he may well yet prove to be an asset at the club instead of a liability he has become in the last 4 months.
