Derek McInnes insists City have received no transfer bids for his star players.

Day after day national newspapers have linked Nicky Maynard and Albert Adomah with Premier League clubs..

"We've had no bids for any of our players," said Derek..

I don't think he could say it any clearer...

In that case I hope that Maynard (in particular) is prepared to work his bloody arse off to stop us falling into L1 over the next 20 odd games.

It also means that we'll be £7m down on the deal if he leaves on a free in the summer which will be just an apalling business decision by the board when Leicester were offering us very silly money for him just a few short months ago.

Wize - I believe that we could live to regret the decisions made (or not made) by our previous manager and the guidance (or lack of) that he received from his superiors.

Reading the comments made by DM concerns me, in that I now really believe that Nicky is under the spell of his agent who is feeding him bullshit in order to garner a large fee for his removal from Ashton Gate.

If you are reading this Nicky please wake up and smell the roses. Your dream of playing in the Prem is a wonderful aspiration but I, like a lot of other supporters, want you to stay with us for another year to help DM fix the mess he inherited. If you decide to sign with us for another year or two then there won't be a single dissenting voice when you make the inevitable move that you so strongly desire.

Go on Nicky do the right thing and this time next season the Prem clubs will be lining up in droves to sign you and DM will be thrilled that under his guidance you have become a really valuable asset.

If he wants to go then the best deal all round would be a one year extension with the agreement to let him go in the summer and then everyone wins or a contract that has a clause in that allows him to speak to Premiership clubs with a min fee release

Agree that there are several ways in which we can recoup some money and give Maynard the move to the Prem that he obviously wants.

Worst case scenario is still him potentially leaving on a free.

Agree with your comments andy although I would like a 2 year contract with get-out clauses to allow him his dream.

If he does leave during that contract everyone would wish him wel,l and everybody, including, his agent would benefit.
