You are the best-run club in the world.

When FFP takes effect fully in 2015, you will be challenging once again, and AW will be proved right.

FFP will never come properly into effect, there'll be some stupid way around it via stadium/kit deals.

City have already fired the opening shot against the FFP with the naming rights of their stadium. That was never 'market value'. Sadly, I do not have much hope for the FFP.

We'll see. The Etihad naming deal was clearly never a 'market value' deal and there is a clear conflict of interests with the royal family also owning both Man City and Etihad airlines. If UEFA have got any backbone, they'll rule against City with this deal.

I agree about having less whinging. Whilst there are issues that need addressing, some people go way over the top with their negative assessment, so much so that they are blind to the good things that our club are doing.

Yeah, our club is doing a lot of good, such as charging the highest ticket prices in England for a return of 7th in the league.

So Man City can't get 25m for their shirt sponsor, 5m for the stadium and 5m for the ethiad campus?

Barcelona get 26m for their shirt sponsor, Arsenal got 4m a season for the stadium and that deal was a few years back. The Ethiad campus is a new thing but if Man Utd can get 10m for a training top sponsor then 5m for the campus seems fair

Or is 'market value' just a term which means 'keep the big clubs at the top because they are the only ones allowed high sponsor deals'?

They reckon QPR tickets are £58 each. safc supporter here, and hope we play you in the f a cup on 18-2-2012 5.30pm, it will be a cracking game, with a near full house, and i feel we can beat any team at home at the moment, this team is the most hardworking i have seen in years, then 2 more class defenders added, and Frazier campbell back to his best. Van persie is the best in england at the minute so we have to watch out for him, and will Henry be playing? great to see a legend coming here. Of course the league game is first on the 11th. P S make sure you finish above them up the road!.

May disagree with the FFP bit.

Yet I agree that posters should stop whining.

If Arsenal have the highest gate receipts in world football they must be charging the most too, unless it is their corporate prices that makes up the money.

All I know is, whilst you can get some £35 tickets that isn't always the case, I wonder if they sell £35 tickets against so -called bigger clubs ??? Tickets are always £40 something pound minimum for me when I try to buy them, hardly any change from £100 for 2 tickets.

For those who claim City (or any other club) manipulate sponsorship deals to suit their own ends, they may well do, but try looking at football and comparing it to American sports, the teams in America; accross all sports; who get the highest sponsorship deals get more than ANY football club in the world, yet they don't have anywhere near the exposure that ManUtd, Barca, Bayern etc. have and don't have the capacity to generate as much money either.
So, shouldn't we be looking at the people in football who make these deals and ask, why don't you demand a deal that actually represents the product we're offering, a product viewed on a regular basis throughout the world in truly vast numbers and with fans in 100s of countries?
We've already seen money made from sponsorship deals rocket over the last few years, look at what Arsenal got from Emirates, compare that to Liverpools newer shirt deal and also think what a team of that size would get for stadium sponsorship now too, but these deals are still far lower than they should be, City are actually getting what a team with their expose deserves, it's upto every other club to realise this.
