http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2766121/Southampton-owner-Katharina-Liebherr-doing-good-job-era-foreign-egomaniacs.html Apparently she's not the evil witch she's been made out to be by some
I'm not smug, I just know I'm better at posting links... (I'm joking, people!) But yes, thank goodness for a positive article and I'm rather surprised it's come from the Mail and Adrian Durham of all people.
A good positive piece, unlike the Samuel's article where words stuck in his throat. I think we are in good hands...unless you want a gangster-style billionaire to throw money at his latest hobby or a consortium to buy us by loading us with debt. I get the impression that some fans (mainly on Saintsweb) would rather risk everything for a chance at the title rather than have us be a well run, viable club playing good football that has a chance at Europe and a very good chance of an occasional cup.
There are times when my work takes me into contact with a radio that I have to hear whether I like it or not. Invariably that radio is tuned to talkSport. Consequently I'm aware of Adrian Durham's show and his pronouncements. Once he gets a bee in his bonnet there's no stopping him. However, he's the same whether he''s moaning or cheering. It's always done with some degree of conviction. So well said Durham. It's about time Saints stopped being the victim club and pundits came up to date.
Ever thought what he is saying is done in such a way to make people want to tune in longer or even phone in and have a argument with him, both of which drive advertising revenues and revenues in general up? Maybe i'm just being too cynical.
You're going to have to do better than that if you want to get into saint's good books... Club have clearly snuggled up with the Guardian over the summer, and it will be a while before the fanbase forgets the Daily Mail's delight and role in the clubs destabilisation this summer. _______________________________________________________________- One of the comments on the article, others well worth a read. We don't forget that easy.
