Stop Getting Trolled (OT)

    I haven't been around the forums that long (maybe 2 months tops) and I've noticed that you guys are very easily trolled. Trolling, for those not that well versed in internet lingo, is when someone posts something purposefully inflammatory or untrue just to get an angry/threatening response. The most significant and recent occurrence was with the tragic passing of Gary Speed. Many of the general chat users posted terrible things about Gary and his death which was met with anger from not only the Newcastle board but other teams also.

    It's fine to be angry when someone posts something like that but you have to understand that these people thrive off you responding angrily. If you ignore them they'll get bored and piss off back to GC where they can fester with their own kind. I know it's annoying reading their racist, homophobic or just downright disgusting comments but you have to try not to give them the satisfaction of stooping to their level.

    Nerh, it was just that GC time. They're all ****s, as you'll soon realise, they always post stuff like that and find it hilarious <ok> When, in actuality, it isn't.

    Other than that, we just Griff the **** outta people!

    I agree 100%. They get far more annoyed if you just ignore them completely.

    True, many people on this board are very easily trollable, for example that thread with the manc posting in it saying our players are ****.

    Totally agree, it's so blatantly obvious when someone is doing it as well(see the thread about Krul).
