Today was another prime example or his inept decissions as a manager!

Tell you what. To stay within our current financial limits lets scour the Blue Square League, Scottish 3rd Division or perhaps the Vatican Wednesday League for a promising centre forward.

So what do you want us to do spend millions and then end up like Leeds with a **** like Bates owning the club, get ****ing real. Quinn will be working with in the constraints set down by Short do you might as well say Short out.

So I assume you never saw Kevin Phillips. I can therefore assume you are quite young. Don't worry. I've been supporting Sunderland actively since 1958 and seen some excellent strikers (I might put Bent in the top three - might) but I've seen some rubbish as well, worse than today's team, believe me.
I've seen some terrible managers too. Bruce is among the most successful but in context, he's way beyond his sell-by date.

However, we are Sunderland. Logical, rational, sensible decisions usually take the back seat, to be overridden by blind passion and faith. Get used to it. You've got another 60 years of it! Some of it will be out of this world (1973 for me) some of it will be desperate (3rd Division), but it will be Sunderland.

What is frustrating today is that we can see the potential in the set-up we have but it is being misguided. It doesn't have to be one trophy in 75 years!

My worry is, I cheered off **** teams for at least trying in the old 3rd.
We made Chelsea look better than they actually are today.
