A signing is a signing. Benayoun is Benayoun. The only reason you'd complain about a signing is if 1) They cost too much (Benayoun is free and we can easily pay his wages) 2) They're over 21 and take up space in the 18 man Squad (No Problems there) OR 3) They're gonna cause trouble in the squad (Not gonna happen).

    Besides, we have ARTETA!

I won't believe the Arteta story until I see it written in stone.

fickle fans wont be happy until the team resembles some kind of in-form fifa ultimate team squad. just let them moan away, they'll be on the man city wagon soon enough...

Kenny Powers .. you talk about fickle fans ?? Shut up you plum, WTF do you know ?? I am a complaining fan and I am far from fickle, Holloway born and raised, Gooner from birth, you can't chat to me !

Its muppets like you that have no heart and soul that don't represent the REAL Arsenal fans. We are the club's bread and butter, go and keep quiet elsewhere. Fans who care make a noise !

  6. I think we have a better squad than we did last year. You'll all remember what happened to us in the last quarter of the season. Well, I believe we now have the depth and experience to ensure that a repeat is not on the cards. Yes we didn't replace Cesc but how do you do that? He's a once in a generation player like Dennis was. Instead we have experience in midfield and attack ( Arteta, Park and Benayoun ) and in defence ( Mertesacker, Santos ). These players also have international experience so that can't be bad.

Robin you are right, but this whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth .. it should NEVER have come to this, the board/manager has taken the fans for fools.

Wenger has done very well to sign 5 experienced international players. It is just a shame it took the worst defeat of his Arsenal career to spur him into action.

All things considered I am pleased with our business and excited again for the season. I am really looking forward to seeing some of these new signings when I roll up to the Emirates for the swansea match in ten days.

  9. Well the time it took made for a lot of anxious moments in this household I can tell you Mr Head. Last evening when the Arteta deal was off I let fly a few comments about money on R5 Live but in over an hour or so it was back on again.

The link I posted above which I presume you've read takes a very considered view of yesterday and all of the summer's transactions. real shame about last Sunday and the Saturday before. I might as well include our trip to SJP too but we now have a chance of turning the tide. Might be Arsene's most inspired moves since the onset of the youth policy yet ;)

    Up the Gunners <ok>
