  1. I'm the one nearly always being accused of being too doom and gloom, and i admit i am at times, but all this really takes the biscuit.

I know we're all upset, and we loved Carroll, but he was not our only hero.

Have a look at our options

    DEF -
Enrique - Signing a new deal, ****ing brilliant player.
Simpson - Coming along very well, has been brilliant
Saylor - Local player who touches the crowd very well. He always comes over to our stand and is like "****ing come on". Good CB.
Coloccini - Is finding his feet in this league and is starting to looking amazing.
Williamson - Decent CB, good for cover.

    MID -

Ben Arfa - Very promising player
    Tiote - ****ing beast
Barton - ****ing brilliant player who is committed to the club
Nolan - Top scoring english midfielder
Jonas - Good as part of squad. I'd keep for more options.

Attack - is the only place we're a bit weak.

Shola - Won't be great long term, but he's proven he can be effective in this league, and can be part of a team that scores goals.
Best - Looks good, give him a chance.
    Lovenkrands - decent
Ranger - very promising but not ready yet.

However - We have 35 million plus add ons to spend, we could buy a good striker, another mid and perhaps cover for that and more!!

Lets march on, and we'll be there to support the toon on Saturday!!!!

For starters the transfer window isn't over yet, which could be good or bad, I'm not entirely convinced our players will be as dedicated to the club as they were now Carroll's gone especially with Melty Face sniffing around, but we may be able to get a decent striker on loan to score the goals to keep us up until we can make a decent signing come summer. As far as the team is concerned you're dead right, all we really lack is a clinical striker which has cost us 4 of our last 6 points, and what worries me is that if we fail to get someone new we're just gonna keep dropping points and end up in a relegation battle.

Weak in the striking department..........................only the most critical aspect and a real cause for concern.
