    Will people stop moaning about all the negativity on this site, please? As far as I can see, most people are being positive, and the only negativtity is the majority of people moaning a bout a few people moaning, which they are allowed to do you know, it's called expressing an opinion. And now I know I'm moaning about people moaning about people moaning, but shut up, okay? :p

    But surely that is what a forum is for, argument and counter-argument....if I read something that I disagree with then I will make a reasoned response to it.

    For some reason I am reminded of the classic Vicar of Dibley, "I can't believe that I can't believe it's not butter" sketch.
    Either that, or this is a surrealist thread, in which case my response is "banana" obviously.:)

    People often seen to have this complaint that they're not being allowed to express their opinion, but that is total ballsauce. What they're actually moaning about is that someone has disagreed with them and they don't like it. If you're allowed to express your opinion, then people are also allowed to express their contrary opinion.

    My verdict: stop flipping out and playing the "I'm entitled to my opinion" card every time someone disagrees with you. Whether their disagreement is constructive or not, strap on a pair and deal with it like a grown up. The best you can do is to continue to debate calmly and rationally, and failing that, maybe it's best to just shut the **** up.

    Well, I can't disagree with that, Joe. The only observation which I would make is that it is much easier to debate calmly with those who give the impression that they respect that your opinion is valid, even if it's wrong. To give an example, consider these two responses;

    "I think that you are completely wrong! A better suggestion would be........"

    "I think that you are completely wrong! A less idiotic suggestion would be......"

    One of these options leads to a debate and the other leads to abuse. If everyone used the former approach, my job on here would be sooooo much easier!

    Spot on.

    Oh and OP, there's not as much negativity on here now, but you should have seen it after the final whistle yesterday (and every other time we lose for that matter).

    We should also close the site if we win whilst not being the best team the world has ever seen. You know the type of poster who starts, 'I know we won 3.0 but.....'

    Do you know though.....that is exactly why I joined this site. We a have a freedom of expression (trolls aside) however most deem it a debating Forum and it is the minority that try and turn it into something else. The term its my opinion seems to fire some people into a vitriolic display. Joe earlier hit the nail on the head when some play the "I'm entitled to my opinion" card. They are stating the obvious but as usual it is probably not what you say but how you say it that causes the most problems
