Just a little fact stolen off Twitter, Newcastle have only won 11% of the PL games Danny Guthrie has started compared to 39% when he hasn't.

Get off his bandwagon, are you seriously blaming him for that statistic?

  3. That's because he's usually replacing Tiote or Barton.

As Guthrie has been used as a squad player, it is logical to assume that when he has played it is because we have players out injured. So I guess the chances of us losing are greater when we have our first choice players missing.

I feel sorry for Guthrie but he doesn't seem up to the Premiership. Maybe the Championship is his level, which is a shame because he seems like an ok lad.

Probably because when he plays it is in place for either Tiote, Nolan or Barton, our three most influencial players. If someone else played in those games instead of him we still would have lost.

Statistic says more about how much we rely on our key players than anything about Danny boy.

When he came on for Smith in the Derby at the SoS I was worried, but for me he was MoM played the defensive role superbly
