I think that’s basically what it has become.
I work in London, so it’s very easy for me and any Newcastle supporter not based in the North East to say that not only the spurs game, but the rest of the season should be boycotted. I'd probably feel a lot different if the ground was round the corner, but I like to think that the last straw had been broken and that I would be able to find the mustier to avoid the ground.
However I think this is the biggest opportunity to hit Mike where it hurts, the season was over in January, yet we still record 50,000 attendance for home games, which is a joke when you look at what service is being provided in exchange for a lot of our fans cash. It’s like paying £40 for a steak and being served a McD's double cheeseburger, you wouldn’t return to the restaurant, yet we taunt ourselves weekly.
I also believe that every fan, even the most cynical believe at some point leading up to a game that we can win, even if it is for a very brief moment or two and it’s that type of delusional thinking that Mike Ashley counts on.
Do yourselves a favour, go to the pub Sunday to watch the game. you don’t need to be outside the ground singing songs and holding silly posters. Just avoid it all together and cut yourselves loose of your abuser's noose.

I agree its markedly easier being an ex-pat (!), but even from afar I struggle to care whether we win, let alone believe we can.

I have taken your advice and am boarding a flight back to Jakarta BUT ONLY as a protest against the Ashley regime. Anyone who wishes to support this noble gesture by providing the necessary cash to upgrade me to business class should call this toll free number 0800 Ashley Out. Anyone else who wouldnt be attending the game anyway should post their form of protest here as well. Fredor - what will you be doing instead?

anyone in favour of a boycott, should do exactly that and boycott the match.
don't watch it on TV, the Internet, in the Pub or whatever - that is just being two faced and hypocritical.

    go and do something useful....

Day out in Northumberland for me. Watching Berwick on Saturday to get my fix. No interest in watching the Spurs game.

    Respect from me Windy.
Sticking to your guns, and not being a hypocrite by watching it in the pub or whatever.

I dont see the issue with going to a pub and watching it, some pubs are offering the first pint free for people who dont go to the game. I'm going to watch it in the pub on the basis that the pub gets my custom as opposed to Mike. The pub will show the game no matter what too

However say viewing figures in the north east increase by 52,000 in their own homes, sky are winning and I bloody hate sky

I'll not be watching or listening.
I'll be in York entertaining clients though (a lovely place). I could have gotten out of it and delegated the task quite easily.... but I thought feck it.... such is my lazy attitude to the Toon these days.
I got rid of my tickets though, before the boycott but If I had known I would have not passed them on and just left the empty seats.
There was a time when I'd move heaven and earth to make sure I was at the game as I have two ST's. This year I think I've welcomed the work distractions which have presented themselves, and meant I've missed some games.
I much prefer away games now to be fair.
Much better craic and good for the drink.

Going to miss watching this one too...will no doubt hover on here and TF though ..but no streaming (removed Sky years ago, due to a perfectly reasonable hatred for Murdoch and the cancer he has inflicted on civilised society)

It is a lot easier to say ..boycott ...if you are miles away. That said..least an ex pat (since a teen for me) can do is show some solidarity..is my thinking
