Do they resize their pitch back down to the minimum PL requirement after every Europa league match. I was trying to find out via highlights, but they're hard to find for some reason...
It's one of the major reasons why they do so well at home. It plays right into their hands. Opposition teams can't spread out over enough width and the narrow pitch is perfect for their long balls and set pieces at better angles. Bunch of cheating twats grind on me so much.
No wonder ManU beat them 4-0 at home everytime, Old Trafford has about 15 yards width on the pitch they draw at the Britannia. Aren't Stoke fans sick of it yet? I mean, sure they're reasonably successful but who wants to watch that dross?
This. It's just ridiculous how any time is allowed to alter pitch sizes. There should a set regulation size and all teams should stick by it!
Remember the only thing that Kinnear did right. Was telling the groundstaff to move the hoardings closer to the pitch so Delap had less run up
Aye, but lets not let on that that was Kinnear's idea! No praise! Shame we can't do that again. Maybe that's why Tiote is 'injured'. Doesn't have to be warming up with the rest of the team so can sneak around and either break Delap's arms or mess around with the pitch...
But then one League 2 ground which is smaller than every other becomes the yardstick, and there's about 15 yards of grass outside the touchline at Old Trafford, St James, etc.
So in this sense, is it not illegal to water 1 side of the pitch at half time (normally the side the home team is attacking) ?
