Brought my ticket for Stoke away match next Monday. I will be traveling from Coventry and im undecided on which way to get there. I was planning to get the train from Coventry to Stoke but i have just discovered that the stadium is in a joke of an area, middle of nowhere and about a 55 min walk from the nearest station. Also the game wont finnish till 9.45 ish and the last train back is 10.30, taxi's are unpredictable and id probably end up getting stuck in Stoke ! Driving is the other option. Im just wondering if people have been to the Britannia before by train. Im tempted to drive it instead. HUM!!
Drive, it's not that far from where you are. Stadium is easy to find and on a business park. Lots of the companies let you park there for a fiver. No problems.
ah i dont know , driving is the better option but itl be a long ass day on the road, i travel from northampton to work which is a 50 min journey , il be doing the early shift ( 6 -2) so i can get to the match in the evening. After work il be driving to my mates in coventry (35 mins) then from there to stoke (hour n haf) each way. Typical that Britannia is in a sh*te area. Gotta do it for the lads i guess !
Just on the off chance, is anyone traveling from/ back to the Sheffield area? I'm not trying to scrounge a lift but even being "train buddies" would significantly lighten would my looks to be an unbearably heavy load in terms of travel. Well, seeing as the last place I set foot in this refuge of the damned I bore witness to a 4-0 defeat, may my return be triumphant.
