Can the Hornets make it three wins on the bounce? Stoke City vs Watford: Championship stats & head-to-head - BBC Sport KK out for probably 3 games mind. ¡¡COYH COYH COYH!!
Driving up in the morning, meeting up with friends of over 40 years standing. Supposed to be with Mrs Fez but she's less than 100% so I'm all by myself. We were supposed to go to see Jeff Stelling last night, but another pal stepped in for her. Good show, btw. Stoke and Port Vale are generally staple visits for me but I think this is the first time in a long while: I didn't go last season, the previous got moved to a Sunday, there were midweek games so it's not since an Abdi / Deeney win nearly ten years ago... jeez!
Hope she is well soon and you have a safe trip up. Had 2 good results on the road and coming off a high from last weekend. They are under pressure it seems. So probably won't get the 3 points here.
Hope Mrs Fez recovers quickly so that life can continue as normal. It's a long time since I've seen us play at Stoke - in fact the longest time possible. Our prize for winning a marathon three match League Cup tie against Bournemouth in 1967 was a trip there - for our first ever meeting. Sadly even Tony Currie's debut couldn't inspire a victory - we lost 2-0. I was so traumatised that I've never been back...
Not a lot to shout about - scrappy and handbags - with some odd refereeing decisions favouring both sides. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bayo on for the second half to give us more pace/height up front, along with Vata who isn't afraid to shoot - something we're lacking so far
