Fair enough but admit it? I did say and was the first Stoke fan to say this.. "Why didn't we have a go" 2nd half we brought on Fuller and from what I heard we did a little better after that.
And, WHY should we lose by 7/8/9 goals? Because I think Citeh are that good. I am CERTAIN that when we play them in the return leg, we will HAVE A GO. And, don't be too surprised IF we actually beat them.
I've no axe to grind with you nor Cardiff but, WHY did you HAVE to come onto the Stoke board slating us? We KNOW it was a CRAP game from our player's. It's nothing new because PULIS is always NEGATIVE away from home.
As for Shawcross getting booked on purpose, YOU must have read it on this board.. one Stoke fan said as much after the Wolves game. of course he didn't do it deliberatly.

For what it's worth,I would have played both Pennant and Etherington but Pulis is the Manager not me. <ok> We're 8th because the table say's or results are BETTER than all but 7 others so, we can not be all that bad. Apologies from me Swampy, I should have put it that way in the first place. Points keep you in this League, not tippy tappy pretty fooite... hence is why I do NOT want us to do a Blackpool and the others I mentioned. So, if you don't like it.. then don't watch it.

i dont see why i should be slated for giving an honest opinion on a forum which prides itself on free comment and debate, look at the top of the page..

why should we lose by 7/8/9 goals? why bother turning up? if you can give top teams a run for their money at home then why not away from home as well? the pitch is bigger and the fans are against you but a professional team shouldnt vary their performance too much based on whether the match is home or away..

why did i have to come on this board? because i've never seen such a poor, lazy display in quite a while. maybe someone like wigan have given an atrocious display at some point but wigan arent famed for their effort and commitment, stoke are..

and i dont know why you've starting talking about styles of football, maybe its a stoke fans reflex to defend their style of football whenever their team gets any criticism for anything, i'm not here to have a go at stokes style of play, merely the commitment of the players..

Sorry we can't play like Barca, we ain't got the player's to do that. As for not trying I agree we didn't even try last night. Which pees me off as much as it does you.
 
Little late onto this thread, but 2 things, what was the actual formation played and I would rather lose to one of the top 6 away and beat any bottom half team at home!

The commentry did suggest that we were going through the motions, even in a defensive set up we can/should syill hustle and work hard. I didnt see the game so I cant really comment as to whether or not we actually played our part in the game, but 24% possesion and 0 shots on traget would suggest not?
