Meanwhile, Celtic have beaten off interest from the Premier League to sign Swedish prospect William Hook.

The 17-year-old has been snapped up from Nykopings after the teenager snubbed advances from Stoke City to move to Parkhead.

Hook said: "Stoke took a long time to get the papers for me to sign. Then I was contacted by Celtic, went over there for a trial and was signed. It felt better than Stoke. Celtic's youth academy is better and it felt perfect."

"Stoke took a long time to get the papers for me to sign." Why doesn't that surprise me, we even drag our feet when signing youngsters.

That shows how easy players can slip through our hands if we let them :(

To be fair he has more chance of playing champions league football at Celtic than he does at Stoke and this was the same reason why we lost Ledley !
