Yep. His yellow on Monday means he misses the Stoke game. I'm guessing it'll be more of the same. Keep it tight and play on the break.

I know mate! I watched the game and saw 4 stonewall yellows in the first half by Palace players - the worst of all was when Defoe was breaking into the box and dragged back - we got the free-kick but nothing from the ref - I thought Jones' was a yellow card any day of the week - but after what the referee had let go in the same game I thought no chance!
I would change it a bit We need to play through midfield here as we are at home and need the points more than they do If we resort to knocking it long then Shawcross etc will kill us. It will be like Southampton 2 weeks back Borini and AJ come back in IMO
Yedlin for Jones as the only change. I think Sam likes 5 at the back so I'd be surprised if he changes. Plenty on the bench to change the game if needed: Lens, Watmore, Borini etc
Keep it tight, don't allow Shakira any time on the ball. Aim for a clean sheet and hope we can knick a goal, Stoke are playing well at the moment, it is going to be a tough game.
Wonder who the ref is on Saturday - really looking forward to game - feel we may be on a long unbeaten run - but ...on second thoughts .... Stoke games are never good , we often implode after a good away game - "big expectant crowd syndrom" (part of Sunderland Disease ??) - lets hope BSA can change this doubting mindset - start of a new positive era -

Just emotional jumbled thoughts - the fall out of being a Sunderland fan - alcohol is another side effect
I know we need points but it would be nice if we followed up a victory by not getting our confidence sapped with a shooting ourselves in the foot diarrhea of a performance. That is why I will settle for a decent performance and us picking up an unlucky draw.

I'd bring AJ in and give him a free attacking role. I think he'd link things up and be the creative spark we should be looking for at home . two quick wing backs bombing forward and two holding mids to fill in when they go. Two strikers up top. It should be the perfect system.....
