According to ssn stoke have enquired about Bendtner, reckon he'd cost around the 10m mark. Anyone want to see him at Safc on those terms? I think he's a similar player to Wickham so would rather see him given plenty of game time to progress and develop.

Quinn spoke out about teams like stoke having 5 or 6 decent strikers. we have 3+Sess so in Quinns eyes we are still short up top. Am I the only Safc fan who thinks John Carew would be a good signing for us, especially on a free. before last season he had gotten double figures in the prem 3 years running. Last season he was frozen out at Villa after falling out with Houllier then his loan to stoke was blighted by a niggling injury. I think wickham could learn so much from him, so too Ji I think he'd be a good option for us.

    Carew...nah.

Bentner yes, but if he joins Stoke, get big Kenwyne back.

I was a huge Kenwyne fan and can imagine how effective he could have been with a seb larssen delivering quality into the box. id have kj back in a minute but I don't think sb is a fan.

I just have this worry that we've got nothing to hit in the box. I can visualise seb whipping quality crosses in and them just drifting over little sess and gyans heads. I know wickham and Ji are tall lads but I get the impression they are gonna get spoon fed games carefully.
Carew is as experienced as they come and can score goals. We need another option upfront.

wouldn't mind Bendtner here, think a good run of games under his belt instead of what he's used to at Arsenal, where he's in and out of the team could bring him on in a big way.

Carew, though hugely experienced would not offer a lot to the team imo.

Cant see Bendtner signing for Stoke, the maths just dont add up..apparantly Kenwyne is the highest earner at Stoke on 40 grand a week, they would have to massively break that wage structure to keep Bendtner happy,Iive read on another forum thats hes in the low 70 grand a week bracket.Mind you what Commachio touched on before could be interesting because there has been some talk of Kenwyne Jones possibly moving on from Stoke with WBA watching developments by all accounts

Stoke could offer him European football not too sure they would offer him any where near the wages he thinks he should be on. He would look at any team outside London or the top 4 as a step down plus he'll not get his head through the door at Stoke they are normal sized.
