Stoke are ready to accept £5million plus Jamie Mackie from Queens Park Rangers for striker Peter Crouch.

Talks are ongoing with QPR still to agree terms over a contract that would include a proposed drop in salary should they go down.

Stoke agreed a £2.5m deal for FC Dallas winger Brek Shea, 22, and are looking at other options including a possible loan for Galatasaray's Johan Elmander. Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak is also poised to sign for £2.5m.

QPR are continuing to negotiate with Anzhi Makhachkala for defender Christopher Samba and with Toulouse over a £10m deal plus Samba Diakite for Etienne Capoue.

They have been rebuffed in a £2.75m bid for Fulham's Brede Hangeland while West Brom want £4m for Peter Odemwingie.

QPR last night agreed a fee with Porto for defender Rolando, 27, who will have talks today.

The west London club have been granted a work permit for South Korea left back Yun Suk-young

Pulis said its up to Crouch whether he wants to come or not so it looks like a deal has been done and its up to the players.

So the Fail confirm Rolando and the Korean bloke.

Pulis wants Darren Bent and will need to sell Crouch/Jones, don't see what he would want with Mackie, he's been improving quality the last couple of windows and has more than enough of the run until you drop types.

Crouch on a rest of season loan would be good, not happening though.

Deals like this, between British managers who have known each other for centuries, are the strangest of the lot.

Crouch still has one of the best interview answers ever:
Q what would you be if you weren't a professional footballer?
    A a virgin

Prefer him to Zamora. And he'd give his all for the hoops. Loan deal would be nice.

Exactly. That's the attitude we have been missing from so many until HR arrived. Top bloke and an opportunity to establish himself as a QPR legend in the twilight of his career.

Shame to see Mackie go though. Anyone who watched Granero last night must be scratching their head at this.

The Pete has seen better days and to splash out 5 mill for the sake of a 'family reunion' .......... No thanks !!!!!!!!

Arry wants battilers but battilers with a bit of skill so Crouch over Mackie all day. Don't get me wrong i like Mackie but have always said he has limited talent.

Apologies if someone has raised this before, but it occurred to me that Harry might be getting rid of Mackie for reasons additional to on-field performance. I wonder whether Jamie has been at the centre of unrest between the players, the division between the Championship promoted group and the Johnny-come- lately's. Was he involved in the fracas on Saturday? He has great heart but does wear it on his sleeve at times

Agree with this. We won't survive in the best league in the world with 11 guys who just try hard. His first touch is awful and he's not even scoring or creating goals anymore. Harry needs ability to go with work ethic. It's not a popular view but I'm not the first person to say this.

When asked about Mackie after the game Harry's response sounded like he made up some excuse on the spot....sore back, ran into the goalkeeper. Hmm....

It was Derry and Ferdinand and the fact that Derry is playing and Ferdinand has gone tells you which side arry is on.

Ah, thanks Flyer. What with Derry and Joe Jordan, I'm hoping enough heart and spirit will be imparted into the team to see us climb the table

Looks like its going to be a straight cash offer, I looked at their board and one of them wanted SWP over Mackie, I hope that was Pulis posting incognito!
