I wonder if this makes the place slightly less windy? The cliche can now go along the lines of; "how will he handle a breezy Tuesday night in Stoke though?", whenever a transfer of Lionel Messi to Man City is laughably mooted.

I would say a hard won 0-1 victory would be welcome but I fear our attack could face some deep defending.

Aye. Without trying to jinx it, we could do with a goal early but even in the second half, what we need is the attitude we've shown so far. Not to be happy with the one goal, like with LVG but to exploit the more open game that will happen if we go one up.

 

Stoke don't really get into full stubborn mode until Christmas so they'll play a bit at the moment and that'll probably be their downfall.
