Stoke have 3 games in the next 8 days , then play us 3 days later . They should be a tuckered bunch .

This game depends on our attitude on the day. Any repeat of the capitulation we showed against Norwich and we will be looking over our shoulders at the chasing pack. Stoke at home was a deserved but hard fought win and we will have to battle equally hard to get anything up there.

Let's hope that they will be worn out by their previous games but I don't think we should be relying on that. We should try and take the game by the scruff of its neck from the off and try to run them ragged. We'll see.

Stoke are a different animal at home. But the run of games should help us.

    Hopefully.

The beauty of Stokes situation is that they are pretty well clear of relegation & will be putting the better part of there efforts into the 2 European games & there 5 round FA Cup game . I'm not saying it a sure 3 away points , but that it's a better chance than most of our away games on the road remaining ...

Guaranteed Stoke will make the pitch as thin as they legally can.

I Will be very happy with a point TBH . As knackered says, they Are a different team at home, we Will need a strong ref if we Are to be able to impose our game up there.

I said before, we're going to get a result here, I can feel it. We passed Stoke off the park at home, and a pitch is a pitch. I know it'll be smaller and narrower, but our qualities will surely shine through.

Also, Stoke have lost their last 6 games in all competitions.

I'm feeling very uneasy about the upcoming game against Stoke. The defeat,or rather the nature of the defeat, against Norwich, has unnerved me somewhat.
    Obvoiusly,hope I'm wrong,very wrong,but I smell another defeat.

I'm with you on that Vetch. I'm very jittery after Norwich showed us up on our own patch.

I'll third that. Not used to seeing us play badly at home, so against a team thats likes to hoof, has lots of height and are a bunch of bullies, well, anything can happen.

Let's hope Agustien and Allen will be available, but as we go down this home straight, we could well do without anymore of Rodgers bizarre substitutions, and I'd like to see Dobbie get some games now! And please Rodgers get rid of Lita and Moore................ <cheers>

I'm with you there, Vetch. It wasn't just the defeat against Norwich, it was the manner of it. It looked like we didn't want to know when Norwich refused to allow us the space to play and our surrender to their physicality was abject to say the least. We needed a leader out there to rally the troops, someone with a bit of blood and thunder about them. Where was the pride? Where was the fight? We accepted what those "nasty" Norwich players dished out without a whimper.

I know this. I played for a team in the LOW that had players who would have sorted out Holt & co, as big as he is. One thing is certain, he would have been limping long before the end - Yankee might have an idea of the players I mean.

I hope that we don't suffer a hangover because of that defeat. It's going to be a battle from here on in with every team below us fighting for survival. Traditionally, one side free-falls from the middle of the table and I think every team in the Pl will have noted that "they (us) don't like it up 'em". That team might be us unless Buck gets us back on track pretty smartly against Stoke.

We have every chance. Stoke will be pretty tired with all the games they will have played and if we get anything less than a draw, I will begin to fear for us.
