I dont really understand why he hasnt picked either the the full 1st team or let the others have a run and rest some of the players that we need a 100% in the league. Palcious, Aresmendi & Ness not getting 60 minutes is a suprise.

Smithers, the thing I dont get is that the team will have to be changed AGAIN for the game on Saturday meaning that we keep disrupting the team. I dont mind him changing a couple but TP goes too far.

Yeh I agree, for me it should be all XI or none bar injury and suspension.

:steam: Well, well fallen at the first League Cup hurdle, and at home against a lower division team. But let's look at the positives from this result. We can now focus on our impending relegation battle which we will probably lose!! Pulis .... absolutely CLUELESS

Oh come on PP "they are a top top club, with top top players" and its was an "ard game"!

Have to agree PP.I feel so despondent because it doesn`t matter how many players he brings in,it won`t make a difference because of the style we play!! We`ve got so much dross in our squad and NOBODY in their right minds is going to buy our players,so if he says we have to offload some players before we can bring new players in then the deadline might as well come in now. What Peter Coates must think of the squad we`ve got having spent an absolute fortune God only knows! Odds on to go down in my opinion,we can`t get enough decent players in before the deadline to save us!! We were outplayed by a1st division team and that says it all.

Its nothing new Joe, this hasn't just rasied its ugly head over the off season - this has been brewing since the end of 2010/2011 season. Its a shame that it needs resu;ts like this and a potential horific league run for people to sit up and take notic of how bad we actually are.

WELL now someone upstairs, might just might say. Enough is enough. Whover said " Play our BEST team or our 2nd team is quite right.

I don't mind losing but I had a couple more text messages from my mate who was there. He said it was " An utter disgrace first half" WHATEVER happened after that, for me does not matter. In truth we should not be "outplayed" "Out thought" by any team TWO divisions below us. LOSE yes but by the sounds of it. The way we LOST has made my mind up fella's.

I want PULIS OUT NOW... not next week, not next month NOW Mr Coates. It's time that YOU Sir told Mr Pulis that we're not at all happy. IF Mr Coates thinks we're OK.
I'm sorry but you too need youre head read. And YES I am thankful for all the money you have given to Stoke City F.C. We all are.

It's just so SAD that a numpty like Pulis has wasted most of it IMHO.

This is not a kneejerk reaction to the result tonight. Smither's you are quite correct. This RESULT has been coming for months and we all knew it would apart from Pulis. Non so blind as those who can not see the bleedin obvious! In a way, I'm glad it's happened now and not against a good side.. UTD, Chelsea etc we would not expect anything in honesty but this for me should mean that Pulis leaves. ASAP. And anyone who say's it could be worse if etc.

How can it get worse than this? I would love to know the views of others who were there tonight.

The sad part is, Potts, it won`t happen, and I thnk that if we start shouting for his head,Coates too will quit!!

Joe
1. I would not shout (At the ground, before/during nor after for Pulis to go and..

2. I would also HOPE that Mr Coates see's sense and IF he's as intelligent as I'm sure he is who knows?

3. I honestly do not think Mr Coates would just say SOD IT, he's invested so much money into the club and I thank him for that. <ok>

TP doesnt have the backing of the fans, he's not ever had the backing from all parts of the ground so while the season tickets still get sold and we are still fighting in the prem then i dont think Coates will take no notice of what us the fans are asking for. It will take far more than a shambles of a result against lower league teams to oust TP but even if we we down this season i would imagine that Coates would give TP a year to get us back up.

But whats the alternative, TP goes now then what other manager would want the job 2days before the transfer window really. No other manager would want to work with the likes of Whelan, Whitehead, Delap, Mama, a team that has no recognised lb, only one premier league forward and 2 quality cb's until Shawcross leaves.

Its a dire situation and it will only get worse until TP goes and again Coates will have to bankroll a big turn over of players in and out.

Ahhh yes - the classic TP insurance policy. Make sure the squad is bad enough that no one else would work with squad making your positions unsackable. That old chestnut.

Agreed Smithers, we have been **** for so long, the only reason we are still in the prem is other teams f*cking up more than us, i don't think we can rely on that for another season, i fully expect us to get tanked sooner than later and the floodgates to open. We have no drive, no direction, the midfield is crap and we need full backs, whats the point of buying a new striker if we never have the ball or the competence to pass it to him. We couldn't keep the ball if we left it in the changing room.
