Paolo Di Canio claimed that watching the first half of yesterday's match was like watching Stoke play Barcelona. I don't doubt what he said for a second but can anyone who was there second this? Pulis has also been quoted saying that yesterday "just wasn't our day". At least he didn't refer to us in the third person. Anyway, assuming the previous point was true, was it just not our day. Or, as I suspect, were Stoke finally rumbled? Cheers
So it finished Stoke 3 v Swindon 4 and stoke fans can make all the excuses but you are a premier league team with a premier league squad, we are a Div 1 team on the rise with our Master at the helm driving us up the leagues. This wasnt a one off result as we played MK Dons off the park on saturday and supposedly the favourites for our league and this result last night was coming. Stoke were outplayed thoughout the game apart from a 10- 15 minute spell and really we could have had 7 or 8 last night. I wouldnt say Stoke fans it wasnt your day you were outplayed-outfoxed and outclassed by the better team, keep your eye on us Stoke fans as the Paolo revolution is taking place ad i would have him anyday over Hoofman Pulis.
I wouldnt get too excited pal, we are the worst team in the prem by some distance performance wise, we have just been lucky to avoid relegation the past 2 seasons with some lucky results, however I fear that this season we will not be so fortunate.
Bilko WELL done last night.. I didn't go to the game but you are right.. could have had four or five by half time and even our local comm on radio said.. this stoke performance is horrendous. BUT he did say, Swindon are playing really well. Hope Di Canio does well for you, I honestly wish we had him instead of that useless excuse .. clueless Pulis.
Bilko - I wouldn't get too excited. We are one of the worst sides in the Premier League and last night's result didn't really surprise me.
