Somebody posted on another thread, that they hoped Stockdale performed badly, so Fulham would hurry up and send him back to us. It looks as if their wishes are being fulfilled, so far: http://hammyend.com/index.php/2012/12/swansea-profit-from-stockdales-slips/?
That would be me, it was tongue in cheek but if it convinces Jol he's not good enough then we could benefit from it!
It'd be harsh on the Jak to drop him and I certainly wouldnt want to drop him for a loanee. If we sign him outright then it's a tough call.
Jakupovic is doing well and has taken the pressure off us to go charging into the transfer market. Lets save the big money, relatively speaking, for the striker.
Surely today doesn't count as a good performance for Jak? I'm not suggesting anything negative but he only had one shot on target from them all game and that was in the 92nd minute! I still want Stockdale, why wouldn't you want us to strengthen with a top keeper if they're available?! Nothing's been suggested that it'd take money from the striker fund.
Should be to the Steven Mouyokolo (or conga, depends!) do do do, Eldin Jakupovic. He looks to me like a good shot stopper, but he is shocking on crosses, he's dropped at least one dolly every game so far, it really will cost us before long.
I was careful to say that I wasn't criticising Jak, and yes I would say that Stockdale is a top keeper despite today. But what's the harm in having 2 top keepers at your club? If Stockdale is available on a perm or loan and the Allams give it the green light why wouldn't Bruce go for it? Whether or not he's happy with Jak. Keepers get injured too!
As long as he keeps getting clean sheets I see no reason to change keepers. Doesnt matter how crap he is or isnt if we play like we did today day in and day out.
If we have Jak and Stockdale competing for the jersey would that be a bad thing? I wonder if Stockdale's heart is in it at Fulham? Perhaps HE really does want away - and hopefully to us. He won't ever be first choice whilst Jol is there.
what impresses here is that you can still remember how to spell his name after so long . . , saying that it could be wrong n i wouldnt know
SPOT ON,, ALL 3 POSTS IMO BUT IN VARIOUS WAYS. THE FORM OF JAKUPOVIC ACTUALLY WORKS IN OUR FAVOUR IN LANDING STOCKDALE. WE SHOULD GET HIM ALOT CHEAPER NOW IMO. JOL DOES NOT RATE HIM AND THE SWANSEA GAME COULD BE THE FINAL NAIL IN HIS COFFIN. THE FORM OF jAK IS GOOD BUT LETS BE FAIR MOST OF US COULD KEEP A CLEAN SHEET PLAYING BEHIND CHESTER FAYE AND HOBBS. HAVING BOTH STOCKDALE AND JAKUPOVIC IS ONLY GOOD FOR HULL cITY. BUT WE MAY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL LATER IN jAN FOR IT TO HAPPEN.
Same here, 1 goal conceded in 3 games and 2 clean sheets is decent in anyone's book. I wouldn't drop Jakupovic at the moment after the good work he has done for us. Unless he has down turn in form/injury, any keeper we may bring in will have to settle for a place on the bench at first
SB seems to work along the lines that if any player does well he keeps his place unless they have a drop in form or have an injury. I think he will stick with Jak, but will probably go for Stockdale to have competition for the GK spot.
I know it's not at all on topic, and I haven't even read that post, but I hate you. Stop typing in capitals you ****.
