Sounds like he wants a full move if we win promotion: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8419730
David Stockdale admits he could be tempted to make a permanent switch from Fulham to Hull City at the end of the season. The 27-year-old goalkeeper is tired of filling back-up duties at Craven Cottage, with there no indication that his situation will improve any time soon. He feels he needs to be playing regularly at this stage of his career, and has taken in a number of loan spells in an effort to get games. The latest of those has seen him link up with Championship promotion hopefuls Hull, for the second time this season, and Stockdale concedes that he would be open to the idea of staying at the KC Stadium full-time. "It's a possibility," he said. "I have to think about it, especially if Hull go up. "It has been very frustrating at Fulham. There have been bits here and there but that's not down to me; they have a goalkeeper (Mark Schwarzer) who is doing very well."
The problem that Fulham have is that Schwarzer is 40 or there abouts & isn't going to be around much longer despite how good he's doing now. So unless they are really looking at other options I don't understand why Jol doesn't like Stockdale, an England international as well.
Clever comments by Stockdale. He's playing it both ways without committing himself to either and these comments could just as easily be taken as a warning to Fulham that he wants their No.1 spot or he'll consider moving on.
He made it clear he wanted to come back here an when Jol asked if he wanted to go anywhere in particular he chose us. See link. http://www.thisishullandeastriding....n-push-makes/story-17918154-detail/story.html
Now this is exactly what I thought when I heard his interview on Humberside on Saturday. He spoke very highly of the club and when Burnsy outright asked him "do you want to move here" he said "We'll see, the boys here are fantastic and I'm sure we'll win promotion so it's definitely a possibility, plus we're in Yorkshire"
I reckon so too. Not sure which Premiership team he thinks would make him top goalie but we would and even if we don't make it up this year next year should be good
Hi Guys, Fulham fan here. Interesting situation here. Schwarzer is approaching his sell-by date. Not been as good this season, but BMJ doesn't seem confident enough in Stocky. I think a half decent, cash bid, would get him to you permanently. We are, reportedly, showing interest in a couple of other keepers. (7/4 to get Butland).......we shall see, good luck to you and to Stocky - a good lad I think.
He's been hinting at wanting a return ever since his recall. I've seen Fulham have been interested in a few keepers, which has got my hopes up about him coming here permanently. It's been so long since we've had a proper number 1...
