Not sure if this has been posted but Robbie Stockdale has gone up to Hibs as Paul Heckingbottom's assistant:

    (From Roker Report)

Former Sunderland defender Paul Heckingbottom was appointed Hibernian manager on Wednesday, with ex-Sunderland coach Robbie Stockdale named as his assistant.

Stockdale had numerous roles at Sunderland from first team coach to caretaker manager on three separate occasions but the majority of his time at the club was as head coach for the under-23s and it’s that experience of bringing through young players that he believes is vitally important:

Have to say I was disappointed he was let go by the club as I think he has a big future in management! Good luck to the lad

He did an incredibly good job at bringing a lot of the youngsters through.

Likes of Watmore, Maja, Asoro, Gooch, Honeyman and more he had them playing the right way and it's reaping rewards.

    Good luck to him.

That's certainly my hope from what I've seen of him thus far in his coaching career

He was good for us but I'd be surprised if he ever ends up as a number one.

Seems very much like a number 2 or part of the coaching team rather than the main man.

Always rated him. I think he'll go on to be a very good manager

Not sure we would have been higher in the table, but we would be playing more attractive football if we had given him the job. Hope he proves me right some day and makes it as a number one, as he was treated shabbily by us after what he had achieved here imo.
