Hatters boss John Still doesn’t think that QPR’s offer of a new contract to Michael Harriman will affect their chances of signing the defender.
On the R’s official website, the Loftus Road club, who will be playing in the Championship next season after relegation from the top flight, confirmed that a new deal was on the table for Harriman.
However, with the defender still just 22-years-old, Still understands the offer had to be made otherwise he could leave for nothing.
Speaking to the News/Gazette, he said: “It means they get something for him, we knew they’d do that otherwise they’ve got to give him a free.
“The clubs are in talks now, so we’re hopeful that we can conclude that, I think we will.”
Harriman proved a hit with Town fans during his seven month stay at Kenilworth Road this season, where he made 39 appearances, scoring twice.
He has made his desire to remain with Luton public, and Still will talk to Chris Ramsey, confirmed as QPR head coach on a three-year deal earlier this week, in the next few days.

No. He's found his level at League 2. Take a 100k for him and let him play every week.

I found that incredibly difficult to read due to their manager's name.

I'd keep him. However, Furlong had probably nudged ahead in the pecking order and I doubt he'd be willing to spend yet another season as a regular unless both could be accommodated.

Bit harsh to say he's found his level. Didn't look out of place when given a rare chance for us in the Prem.

He was playing up against a debutant Jordan Ibe that day. He could probably play in League 1, but he's not going to start every game in the Championship for us. Similarly, I don't think Darnell Furlong will either.
