The Herald claim that there are four people still to agree a financial solution before James Brent buy-out can proceed.

    Two are former players.

one a high profile former employee.

One figure linked to the discredited former board.

Who do we think they could be ?

The high profile employee......probably could be guessed at and also the former board link as well.

The two ex-players should not be too much of a problem.

Who do you think these people are........over to you Miss Jane Marple.

    Hercule Poirot here mon ami:

I would presume the former players are Rory Fallon and Kari Arnason - both left with high wages outstanding and also did not leave on good terms.

No idea who the high profile employee was - Maybe Synan? LOL (if it is I am "Not personally worried").

I will assume Gardner is the former Board member - he did put a lot of money in at the beginning last year to try and stave off the administration and is arrogant enough to cause a delay in the process.

Mind you Seip could also be a candidate.

I wonder when Brent takes over, what will become of Patterson and Johnson (or have we sold them?). Both are on high wages but perhaps taking a sizable pay cut they could be of use. Actually I dont think that will happen.

    Kari Arnason & Judas Seip
    Gardner
    Gladys (PR)

Patterson has a bit of tarmacing lined up when the new development starts (cash in hand)
Johnson out of contract end of this season I think so guess will be moving on

In Christie-esque plot twist, 2 new characters

First, the disgruntled former senior employee, dismissed to spite the upper-class business owner he thought was his friend, step forward Keith Todd.

And the shifty, and too-obviously nasty scoundrel with a suspect past, Peter Ridsdale. These characters are usually red herrings with the real villain being much less obvious - but in this case, I'm not so sure..........

Peter Ridsdale isn't yet an ex-employee............it must be one of those that lent money to the old Directors...........might be Japanese.

Ex-players.........one is probably Seip and maybe the other one Arnason............both left under a cloud.

Who from the office staff who could be seen as high profile ?

After all of the effort put into negotiations with hundreds why leak this now? What at this stage does it achieve I would ask because it isn't going to enhance anything. All this does is lead to pointless speculation and the wrong sort of rhetoric from a certain fraternity. There are probably a dozen people this could be and we could all list a top 10 culprits ourselves without breaking too much sweat. Who leaked that because it would have to be a leak from somebody in the know. It does seem quite deliberate but why.

To cause trouble and hurt Argyle.

Two former players - Seip and Maclean.

one a high profile former employee - Synan.

One figure linked to the discredited former board -Stapleton.

On the high profile former employee front, if Ridsdale was buying the club then I would say Mr Reid.

The figure linked to the discredited previous board members could be Gill - he may have backed out due to fan pressure before but could be causing trouble in the background.

I think Plymborn is right about the players - Arnie I feel deserves a good deal after the way Ridsdale and the admin screwed him.

Anyway we will have to wait and see.

The Herald today (21st Oct) claim that there are three outstanding claims to be agreed.

    1).....Tony Campbell.....ex-chief Operating Officer.

    2).....Peter Reid.

3).....and Akkeron and the payment to the Administrators.........they suggest a gap of £220.000 between them at present.

It was suggested that today could see the takeover completed and James Brent would finally become the owner of PAFC, don't start the party just yet please.

Apparently on PASOTI they have said that Brent has offered to pay about £300,000 - a figure he agreed at the beginning of the process.
PandA want 50% of their fees - £375,000 roughly. Really? They are holding us up for this? They should be thankful to be getting £300,000 from Brent. He has only been dealing with them for the past 7 weeks.

Surprised about Tony Campbell - on PASOTI he is claiming that it is only to do with his wages.
No apology for letting down the staff (who are on much less than he was anyway) & for bringing in Synan and Kagami I noticed...

Peter Reid - well in the back of my mind I suspected this (not that I blame him). I think Brent would be best placed dealing with these chaps himself rather than letting Ridsdale as the below states:

    http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/Ply...s-tense-cash/story-13619979-detail/story.html

If I was screwed over by Ridsdale I think I would try to get as much as possible (although I would not risk the deal failing because of it! - I would ask to discuss it with Brent directly). Looks like next week will be the week.

Aagh....I have Brendan's voice in my head!!! "Next week, neeeext week Hobo...":emoticon-0107-sweat

    Salaam Hobo,

Re Peter Reid - lost in the aftermath of his sacking by Ridsdale was the following statement:

"Plymouth Argyle have not heard the last of me, they will not know what has hit them"

    Hmmmmm

No completion before Monday by the look of it.........which probably means that P&A will pocket the Saturday takings and wages will not be paid before Monday.

That is assuming that things are finalized even on Monday.

Hiya ONB how´s tricks your guys up for Europe next year? Pullis doing good just as you predicted :emoticon-0105-wink:

Don´t think it was missed tbh more took a backseat to other discussions. From his playing days and from what he showed here I don´t think he is the sort to let things go and really not the best of enemies to have. Though I have said I thought he should go I can fully respect any actions he takes against the club but would be surprised if he pushed it so far as to scupper the deal. I think he has far too much class for that.

Imagine the fall out if a total football man was the cause of the demise of an entire football club. He has every reason to feel bitter and I don't blame him for that but to be the nail that closed the coffin? No. He didn't cause any of the mayhem that has befallen us but if he doesn't come to an agreement he will be the end maker. Would he, could he ever work in football again with that hanging round his neck. I have my doubts despite any sympathy there might have been for him before. My thoughts are that he was dumped so he is getting a little of his own back by pissing the powers off for a while. I hope I'm right in that.

Wasn't Tony Campbell involved in bringing in Kagami and Synan..........very much part of the old regime.

Yes he was plymborn. I've been trawling through loads of stuff elsewhere and comments from subscribers. You can't balme x or y for this or that. You can blame x or y for this. If this club is brought down now after all that has gone into it and especially from the supporters then you just watch the blame fly then. I refuse to believe anyone will let this happen now but yet another golden deadline passes and another weekend of wondering follows. For christ sakejust get the bloody thing done and dusted and lets be able to move on to football without endless reems of speculation.

Brent cannot negotiate with individuals..........it's one deal for all 300 people..........Campbell and Reid have to accept what is on the table.........or it all comes crashing down.

Campbell part of the old regime of proven failures.

Reid the good guy.........who could turn into the bad guy very easily...........a losing manager with only one point.........had to go..........the team seem to be a lot happier without him.

Was reading elsewhere regarding Reid's sacking, it was the timing that was the problem, if he had been fired AFTER the takeover then Brent would be responsible for his pay-off!!

Ridsdale cynical or what! And I dare say Mr Brent was fully aware!

I won't get Sensible and Plymborn started on big business <whistle>

Hi Mexijan - yup doing OK in Europe, the away draw at Dynamo Kiev was special, damn near won it!

Read yesterday about a goal celebration at Guadalajara (sp) 2 players pretended to shoot each other in the head!! Got fined 50K in peso's.

Once upon a time in Mexico eh!

    Good luck for this afternoon
