I feel that I am alone in wanting Man City to fail today, perhaps I am still bitter! Have to a laugh at the all the quotes saying how much their âfantastic supportersâ deserve it, is that the same fantastic supporters who had half emptied their end of Wembley within 2 minutes of Superbob scoring our second goal!
AshfordGill - Keep up the good work we need more articles on here, especially Gills pre season. Sadly whether Man City or Man Utd I lost interest many seasons ago under the Murdoch regime. Your comment about their fantastic supporters speaks volumes for the reason of my dislike for the Pampers League. Many years ago I could have told you how many titles a team had won and who won what when, these days I cannot even be bothered to look. Seeking perfection in everything from the call for goal line technology to a European League is killing the grass roots of our game, all in the name of marketing, which in turn makes money, in turn breeds greed. The attempt to market Cardiff City's colours recently just showed the money men are not going to stop at anything to make an extra buck from OUR game.
Like brb I couldn't careless about the premiership, but I would suggest that the Man. City who beat us no longer exist. It failed to exist when they sold their soul to the Abu Dabhi crew
Thanks for the replies, my trouble is I just love football (not saying that you don't), so for me today the end of the premier league season will do for me to get a fix, then much as I hate the current crop of players being picked to represent our nation I will be looking forward to the Euros, in the meantime we have a new manager to think about and hopefully some new contracts to get signed and then a couple of new players to invigorate our dreams for next season. And BSG with regards to City you are so right, cant say I wouldn't like a new investor at Priestfield but hope we never completely sell out (not that its very likely)
Yeah I am not a fan of international football as much as England always fail at it but I can't wait for it, just like the Olympics.
I am glad City won the Premiership. Great to see someone else's hero score the winner at the Ethiad, 12 months after Keds' last goal for the Dons. As for the Euros I am also looking forward to it even though England and Ireland will obviously fail yet again
