The good ship the S.S Canary Now cruising in her second year, In the Premier League´s oft choppy waters Is finding the shipping lanes clear, So far with progress unimpeded For a ship of her size and her class, Those passengers who´re travelling with her Enjoy watching all those they pass, And with half this year´s cruise remaining The signs are again looking fine, That their planned course, charted beforehand Will be completed well on time, But seafaring persons know full well How such trips can come to a halt, With reefs and rocks waiting to capture Any captain not worth his salt, So although the prospects do look good In winter the weather can change, Without warning and become stormy Just when you thought you were in range, But Captain C. Hughton and his crew Have kept engines purring along, At ´full ahead both´ for the voyage And so far scarce put a foot wrong, And unlike many larger vessels With larger capacity too, We´ve not found ourselves in a flounder With passengers all in a stew, So if we can navigate wisely The next maybe four weeks or so, Where conditions could be inclement Then I see nowt stopping us go. Hi RBF, I'm liking this a lot! There maybe a few choppy waters still to come, but I think our journey up to now has pretty much weathered the storm!
